• What is an audio guide?
An audio guide is a guided walk of a popular location. It consists of a tour map, which shows the walk on a street map and the audio files themselves. On the map is also a picture gallery of the sights. The audio files are in MP3 format and you play them on your own equipment. The maps are in pdf format, printable on any printer. The audio guide is intuitive and easy to use. Each tourist attraction is identified by a number. Just select the corresponding number on your MP3 player and press Play.
• What will I get for my money?
You will receive (download) a zipped file, which contains - the guide in the form of MP3 files and a map in pdf format.
• What I do after download?
You will need to extract (Unzip) all of the files from the Zip file folder you downloaded. You can do this by right clicking on the zipped folder and selecting "extract all files". When the files have been extracted (unzipped) there will be a separate MP3 file for each story that can be dragged and dropped into iTunes or another audio player for transferring onto your MP3 player. Sometimes the MP3 files can download in the wrong order and so make sure that they are in the right order by clicking at the top of the column.
• What hardware and software do I need?
You will need a device capable of playing MP3 files e.g. an MP3 player, mobile phone or an iPod. You will need a means of un-zipping your downloaded file. Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 have file un-zipping software built in. Older versions of Windows will require Winzip. If you do not already have Winzip, a free evaluation copy can be downloaded from http://www.winzip.com. If you have a Mac, you will need to be able to expand (or unzip) the .zip file we send you.
